16/07/2009

4 June 2009. That was the day we met up with our customers and suppliers, at the Z2000 Convention Bureau in Stockerau, to celebrate the centenary of Vogel Pumpen and its merger with ITT Water&Wastewater to form the new company named ITT Austria.

Many guests of honour attended the ceremony, including the President of the Province, Erwin Pröll, the Head of the District Office Dr. Norbert Haselsteiner, the Mayor Helmut Laab, the Deputy Mayor Christa Niederhammer, the Deputy Mayor Susanne Hermanek and members of the Vogel Family.

The ceremony was introduced by Dr. Christa Kummer, moderator of the Austrian national television service ORF, and gladdened by the music of the Vienna Ensemble. In the afternoon our guests had the opportunity to visit the company in its new role as a company integrated with Water & Wastewater, or to stay in the Convention Bureau for some pleasant entertainment, provided by the “SIXpäck” musical group.

On visiting our company, the President of the Province, Erwin Pröll, declared: “In this company, always faithful to its principles, tradition and innovation are combined in harmony”.

The manager, Dr. Hannes Lauermann, expressed his thanks to our customers, partners and employees, without whom the company would never have reached its centennial.

This merger, which result in the newly-formed ITT Austria, is a guarantee of success for the future. The new company will in fact have at its disposal the synergy of important leading companies of the sector, with successful brands and a far-reaching local and international market.
